Defending Democracy in the Disinformation Age

The McCain Institute at Arizona State University presents a comprehensive, day-long event – Defending Democracy in the Disinformation Age – beginning at 10 a.m., Thursday, April 11, with media literacy experts Kristy Roschke of ASU's News Co/Lab and Michelle Ciulla Lipkin, Executive Director of the National Association for Media Literacy Education.

The panels will focus on the impact of social media on democracy, the loss of local journalism, Congressional legislation and regulations on technology, Arizona and local elections, and disinformation’s impact on veterans and the military community.
